The funny thing is I have always said I really can’t wait to see more of the world, but I never really cared to see Asia. Outside of a few islands and going to Haiti every year I have never done any international traveling so I was really excited no matter where I was to go. I do want to put Europe on the list, Italy etc and I do want to visit the Holy Land. As for March/April I went to Haiti for 1 week then I spent time with Eleventyseven in Asia. I can’t tell you what a great year this has been so far 30 is great so far. There are a few set backs that we are seeking a breakthrough on, but we keep trusting God. I have really wanted to work in the music industry from an early age. I have a heart to reach the youth culture with positive music and I have a heart to reach the nations of the world. I am so happy I was able to go. Even though it wasn’t a massive outreach where we did alter calls where thousands of people flooded the stage we were able to build relationships with the people there. With the language barrier and being brought in by Non-Christians even made it a little more difficult. Was a smile enough, a hug, God Bless you in English enough to give a little bit of Jesus to these people. China was a sad place for me, I think it really hit home with what Freedom really meant. a nation that is controlling of what they watch, listen, etc. You can feel it in the air as we traveled to 5 cities. The amount of people was very overwhelming to me. My prayers are with the people of Japan and of China, The spiritual stong holds of that country will come down and the light of Jesus will come through on all fronts. It was crazy to think while I was there 4 different teams were on their way to the Haiti project and also another team from another organization. Talk about letting go. But I was reminded that this was the prayer that I gave to God. Through the 4 years we have been there small gifts were given and we would see fruit at the project and about 2 years ago I asked the Lord to give us a full tree that we can pull from. Resources of people who will give the expertiece to take up this vision and see it fulfilled what God has for it. This year it has happened. As we get more organized and get more peopasdfasdfle taking up their part I am confident the people we feed will be so much more, send to school will be greater. A big thanks to all who gave, listened, went and so much. It means the world, Haiti is still broken and hearing the reports when the rains have come even hurt more for me Even so come quickly Lord, let us gather workers to go to the Harvest. Dear friends!

You are all amazing for being apart of my life, my facebook and twitter. I think with all of the Haiti and life updates and asking for money I have only had 10 friends take me off my list- So I guess first I apologize for being a little over the top if you are tired of hearing me go on and on, but I guess the answer is if you don’t understand get on the plane with me and in 90 minutes I’ll show you why. Someone the other day asked about Haiti, yes it is about helping people but it was about how much I could help with the little that I had.

The Good news: We are making progress! All of the asking has been successful. I can’t tell you how amazing it has been to see so many people I have never met go down to this project. Now the overwhelming part of so many people fired up to help, funnel their ideas and keep moving forward. This is when things get exciting something I have waited over 4 years for.

We have put in a water filtration system that is working! Trained the locals to work this and keep providing healthy water for the community. A group trained many to help in the health field to help out those in need of medical help. As well as having team members spend months at a time down there. The house is getting done on the inside as we speak, 2 properties of land have been bought buildings will go up to start an orphanage, a school and a feeding center. This will help in allowing us to feed more children as well as provide jobs for those working in the kitchen staff.

Speaking of the food program when I was there in March there was 4 tables on 1 side of the center for feeding. I have recently seen photos from the teams that went down in April both sides of the center packed, with children eating outside!

Just a small update of some of the stuff going on to let you know what you have given is making an impact, and I think at this point I won’t even know all the things that are going on. Thanks for giving; feeding, sending, praying and so much more you have done so much for this project.

I do want to let you know and ask again for any help you can give. I will be going in June and will be taking some youth students with me. This is huge for me because I was 17 when the relationship was built that started this whole project.

Would you be willing to help me out in going and having some extra funds for projects down there, paint, building supplies and even food for the children so the young people I am bringing can experience.

If you can 1 more time this year- help me out in going please do what you can.

Send your checks made out to The Conduit to Philip Peters 227 3rd Ave N Franklin, TN 37064

Thanks again for everything- Let me know if you have any other questions.

Blessings,

Philip

“Give me 5”

I can’t tell you how amazed I am at so many people who respond.  Many of you have seen it first hand and many of you are about to see it first hand. I will be leaving for Haiti on March 9-16th. I will be having a meeting with the teams that are going on March 18th at 6:30 at New River Fellowship in Franklin, TN . This will be able to answer many questions for those going down to settle any concern you might have.

How can you help now? If you are going ignore this e-mail. I know that I ask for a lot but I feel like if I Can get a team of people to help me pull this Haiti stuff off it will help. I’ll be honest this year is to try to get me Debt free and my trips to Haiti cost a lot.

I’m asking for you to give me 5. That’s right if you see me and can give me 5 bucks This is our 5th year going down and really ready to see what the next steps are especially after the earthquake.  This will help cover my Malaria pills, things that I need while down there etc. Any help you can give is amazing. You are also free to give at www.conduitmission.org the 501c3 that runs the Haiti portion of the project.

Thank you so much to all who have given, time, clothes and other items. I will return with a list of more needs and what the plan is going to be.

Blessings,

Philip

“No man is a failure who has friends” -Clarence

I watch the Movie, ‘It’s a wonderful life’ weeks before  the new year hits and as the new year started I am so blessed and reminded of the angel Clarence.  2010 has started out with a bang. I think 2010 is the year that I wanted 2009 to be, but I’ll take it!  I always get fired up at the beginning of the year, because I plan out the year and things that want to do. I also like it because 8 days is my birthday and I do the same. This year was my 30th bday and how exciting is that. To be honest I really thought I would be married at this point, I always saw me having kids soon, but those aren’t in the plans for me. I can see now that he needs me just as I am to work on the youth/ church activities and my job and also to get setting up for Haiti. I spend many hours at work followed by hours at night working on youth things or planning things in Haiti and I can’t say anyone would of been ready for what happened to that small country on Jan. 12th of this year.

I had my 30th bday party at my church with tobyMac and crew- they did an amazing job. Over 300 people showed up and raised some funds for the country. That was a blessing and a great memory. After the Earthquake hit I was able to share the story many times to many people, churches, and media outlets. Also, from the bday party to the people working on Restore Haiti team, I am so blessed that a relationship that started when I was 17 years old turned into this. I now have a greater understanding to scripture, “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” Hebrews 13:2- Keep your relationships because you don’t know who’s life you could help save in years to come.

I was so excited for this year, the last year of my 20s and it was going to go out with a bang. I was going to party every day, live each day to the fullest and just go for it! It kind of seemed like everything I went for didn’t happened and the year turned out to be kind of blah. There were many high points don’t get me wrong, but as far as the year being something to be remembered not so much. I think you have years that just kind of prepare you for next and that is my hope that this year was not so much a continuation of the last.  Was looking forward to working with a band and have some unbelievable experiences with that. I was very excited to get tickets to go to another country and to see Michael Jackson perform; well you know what happened there. No trip. I was able to get a friend to go with me for a few days to Florida, which was a great relaxing moment; I get so much from being at the beach.

I believe that Haiti this year will set the course for what is to come next. So many people are involved now and really supporting the mission and vision of what has taken 4 years to form. Now we are ready to make some big waves. Having my mom go with me was great. Having family see and support what you do is very big so I was very happy to see her there and get the mission bug helping people. Her and dad were the first to sign up to sponsor a child in the program and now that project has grown and will continue to grow.

I got a jeep, something that I have wanted to have for a while. Probably not the smartest financial move since I am trying to get out of debt, I am close and this didn’t help but having the jeep has been so relaxing, taking it out on a cool summer evening was the highlight of my summer for sure.

I am working on things for 2010. Ways to have youth group explode and that when a young person that I get to be hang out with has a hard time they will know the right choice to make. The project in Haiti will not be a worry but something that many people give to help and make a part of their life. The job will take shape and even though it seemed nothing went on this year, something will go on next year and it will be an unexpected surprise for me.

So as I sit on 2009 and reflect the people that have come and gone, have pour into stuff, shared laughs and so much with I prepare to say goodbye to the 20s and welcome the 30s. I take it as preparation for the next chapter.

The scripture says to write out the vision and make it plain and run with that vision. The second part is very key, for in due season it will be fulfilled. I have a lot of vision in my life that I want to see fulfilled and I am holding out hope that the due season is just around the corner. I am ready to enjoy life and have it to the fullest!

See below my friend Rufus and I are working on. It will go through the conduit and you will get tax deduction but we are sending it to his house so we can confirm the donations with the people making the large matching gift donation. Please think and pray about giving some. Any funds you can give will be amazing. If you give $20 you have now given $40 and so on. I want to show the support and get this done before Thanksgiving! I think we can do it.
Please pass the word!

Hi there!
Restoration Ministries is very close to finishing a house in Jacmel, Haiti. The purpose of this house is to provide a place for the feeding program, shelter for abused women and lodging for the pastor and his wife.

We have just found a donor who will give us $5,000 if we can raise $5,000 – that $10,000 is just enough to finish the first floor of the house! What a wonderful opportunity to DOUBLE your donation! This is a tax deductible donation.

If you feel led to join this challenge, please make your check out to “Conduit” and mention the “House Fund” in the memo. Mail the check to Rufus Howe, 604 Brelan Ct., Brentwood, TN 37027. Even a small check will really help, so please consider donating to this very worthy cause…

On a side note, there is a team going down to Haiti in April to make bunkbeds and kitchen cabinets for the house. We will be sure to post pictures for you to see how your donation has blessed the people of Jacmel, Haiti.

Thank you, and God Bless,

Together we can make a difference!

Are you ready for it? Do you need it? I have said that often and even this year I was like my last year in my 20’s is going to be AMAZING! So much new, so much fun can’t wait; well I would say this year was a few steps above a dud. Nothing new really, much has been planned but nothing earth shaking. My message though is this, what a lesson to be learned. When you are ready to see the ocean and God leads you to the creek bed, get ready because that creek is going to lead to something huge and just wait there is going to come a day when you can’t cross that little creek anymore. My goals, are to learn to lead- work with leaders-volunteers-people who want to serve, train them up and get super organized because there are 2 more months till I turn 30, and when that happens there is no turning back-Bigger and better and IT will happen!

Boy what a crazy year thus far. I had declared that 2009, the last year in my 20s to be amazing. Not so much thus are. I can’t complain really but I can’t say wow this year is awesome. As I sit here with yet another movie on because of having my wisdom teeth removed this past week after earlier in the year finding out I had to get glasses, go figure! What is going on, I’m getting old! That’s the answer. I am back at work tomorrow and enjoying that still not 100% but doing great, I’m someone who doesn’t like to feel a bit uncomfortable but there is lots of work to be done for the events coming up. Trips this year were going to take me around the world but for reason after reason I have been stuck here at home. Interesting stuff, perhaps next year I will see the world. Anyway, Back to movie # 12 for the weekend. If you have to get your wisdom teeth out, it’s not that bad its just not that fun!
Have a great weekend, its beautiful out and I’m missing it.

Alright here goes. I think if you know me you know I love to listen to music, I like to dance. I like to be ‘Wowed’, by what I see and Michael Jackson did just that. Sadly, as I grew older the impressive Michael Jackson went away and the more Tabloid Jacko hit, That could of been his PR people or just the way we are today. A family of a family of 8 now is all over the media instead of being an example of the family or how crass we can get our lyrics so we can get on the radio, yeah gaga we aren’t feeling you. ‘We are a (the) world’ where people are famous for being famous and not their talent. So sad. Would the real God-given artist please stand up, we need some new music.

I don’t know Michael and I only go off of the pure enjoyment of a song, a video and some dance moves. I do not want to judge him. I was blown away by the amount of people who take someones word from a magazine about a guy versus the good. And what IF Michael did mess around with a kid AND Get his life right with God would he receive forgiveness of sins, yup and if you search hard enough you will see all the good Michael did that wasn’t really promoted, therefore not doing it in the name of Michael. I like that. I want to be like that. Do so much good no one can keep up but its in my nature. On Sunday at church a quote by CS Lewis was read and will be my new life moto, it went something like give so much that you aren’t able to do all the things in life you want to because you can’t afford it, and you will still find true happiness. I will say the people who know me and the ones who know better who are so quick to give their opinion of someone they don’t know and chances are we are the people that if we had a camera following us what would the world see?
So here’s to life, not judging, forgiving and being able to not see people who aren’t really what they are and to those in my life that I do know about make sure life is as it should be.

I was supposed to be able to see Michael Jackson 2 times in my life. Once at the Grammy’s in 2008 and he bailed and then the concert in London. (where I had great seats mind you) Anyway, such is life I won’t get to see the one artist I wanted to see live, but then again there is always Kanye West. Michael+Jackson
